Which Claude Code plugins do you need?
Check what you use Claude Code for. You'll get your own plugin list, the install steps for where you use it, and a prompt to make your first skill.
Optional. It goes into your first-skill prompt.
Check at least one, then pick where you use it.
Your Claude Code plugin list
Install these
If you mostly use Claude Code to write, research, or organize files, you can stop here. That's a complete setup.
How to install them
Your first-skill prompt
Paste this into Claude Code at the end of a chat where you did something you'll want to do again.
After this one, whenever Claude does something well you'll want again, just say "Turn this into a skill." With skill-creator installed, it writes the skill file and saves it for you.

- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF skills. When you sign in with a claude.ai account, those skills come along. No install.
- Any plugin whose description mentions repositories, pull requests, commits, branches, language servers, a programming language by name, databases, SQL, migrations, deployments, builds, logs, monitoring, or test suites.
- Anything you can't explain in one sentence. If you can't say what a plugin would do for you this week, skip it. Each one adds to what Claude reads before it starts working.
- Plugins from random marketplaces, for now. Stay inside the official catalog for your first month.
